The world of talk radio is all about your listeners. A loyal listener base will spend hours with you each day, some listening as they work. As an Executive Producer of The Shannon Burke Show on Florida Man RadioNetwork, we recently installed a RadioPix visual radio system in the station and the response from our listeners was immediate. Here are three great things I learned about the benefits of RadioPix visual radio programming.

1.) Grow Your Online Audience
RadioPix lets you easily live stream your radio program to multiple online destinations and helped us build a new audience through social media. It’s pretty amazing that we have found a wider audience just by adding a visual element to the show. Feedback from our loyal fan base is that they are feeling more included or that “they are like a part of the show”. One listener told me he always felt like he was in the room listening but with RadioPix now all of our listeners can feel like they are in the studio alongside the talent.

Finding new revenue streams in Radio can be tough but RadioPix provides new ways to advertise thru video. Easily create and sell visual commercials for your live stream. When your audio commercial automation is running you can even playout a whole different set of commercials from RadioPix to make more money from advertisers. You can also sell visual banner space by creating a custom frame such as this digital example; “The Shannon Burke Show is sponsored by Gino’s Pizza”. Get creative with revenue streams and I bet you could even double your advertising profits with RadioPix!

3.) Invite Remote Guests
RadioPix makes it simple to invite and feature remote guests on your show using Air, Skype, Zoom or any NDI-enabled video conference system. This excellent feature works great when you have a recurring weekly guest that calls-in via a landline. Since installing RadioPix, we can now feature our guest with broadcast-quality video and audio using a third party video conference app. It’s awesome.

I think RadioPix could help any radio station to grow their loyal listener base through easy, affordable and fully-automated visual programming. Learn more about RadioPix here.
