Chelmsford, Mass. – March 1, 2018 – Broadcast Pix™ and Spanish manufacturer AEQ today announced they have reached an agreement on product integration primarily to offer complete media and broadcast automation solutions. The integration involves Broadcast Pix’s integrated production switchers and a series of AEQ’s Audio-over-IP (AoIP) network-enabled products. Both Broadcast Pix (Booth SL8320) and AEQ (Booth C3651) will demonstrate the new integration next month at the 2018 NAB Show in Las Vegas, Nev.

The integration will be promoted as packages by both companies in their respective markets. To AEQ, packages will mainly address the visual radio market in the United States and Latin America, while Broadcast Pix will provide its dealers and integrators with additional products and packages for their current broadcast, corporate, government and house of worship markets.

Seamless interoperability between Broadcast Pix systems and AEQ’s mixing consoles and AoIP network interfaces allows for the automation of video production based on audio levels and thresholds. The intelligence of integrated software control from Broadcast Pix eliminates the need for a technical director during live video productions. This becomes paramount when applied to, for example, visual radio implementations. When an AEQ product is paired with any Broadcast Pix integrated production switcher, this very powerful hardware and software solution automatically detects which microphone or audio channel is being used, and triggers predefined actions for video-follow-audio automated production.

This partnership will help us expand into even more international markets and strengthen our position as a premier visual radio solutions provider,” said Tony Mastantuono, product manager, Broadcast Pix. “Seamless integration between products from different manufacturers is more critical than ever, and we are proud to be working with AEQ to improve functionality for our customers.”

This partnership comes really natural as we are expanding into new markets and business models,” said Ivan Olmeda, director of corporate strategy and development at AEQ. “Visual radio and multimedia solutions are increasingly becoming standard requests from our customers. The seamless integration of Broadcast Pix production switchers and our range of AoIP networked products provides a perfect platform. It is more than a pleasure to work with one of the finest switching solutions backed by a really dynamic company and professionals. Broadcast Pix production switchers in combination with our AoIP products become visual radio solutions with almost endless possibilities.
